It depends upon the service you are requesting - please see the "Services and Fees" section or click the link below:
No, the fees on the "Services and Fees" page are for instruction only. You may provide your own airplane or I can assist you with airplane rentals in the area.
Some of this depends upon the student, of course. People learn at different rates. I suggest you try to fly at least once per week, so that you don't spend half of the next lesson remembering what was covered before. FAA regulations require a minimum of forty hours of flight time plus ground instruction, but that isn't very realistic. I believe the average is closer to seventy hours of flight time plus ground instruction.
Much like the private pilot certificate (above) part of this depends on how often you fly and how quickly you absorb the concepts. FAA regulations require that you have at least fifty hours of cross-country time, a minimum of forty hours simulated or actual instrument time. These are absolute minimums - in reality, the average is closer to sixty hours of instrument time plus ground instruction.
Yes I can. I suggest we talk about obtaining a commercially-available program (such as King or Gleim) as well as some video channels that I can suggest. You can go through these programs at your own pace. FAA regulations require me to do some ground training with you, but the more you can do on your own the less expensive it will be.
Sure, once we have accomplished the required training. I can help you with renting and training in both complex (flaps, adjustable propeller, retractable landing gear) and high-performance (greater than 200 hp) airplanes.
It's really dependent on the client - if you fly all the time, it will likely just be the mandatory one hour of ground training and one hour of flight training. The average general aviation pilot needs three to four hours. If you haven't flown in a decade, it will of course be longer. The bottom line is that I will sign you off as soon as I am confident that you can safely operate the airplane. We can discuss your situation and arrive at a ballpark figure.
